Well water often contains iron, which can stain plumbing fixtures, bathtubs, shower walls and doors. Iron can also stain sidewalks, driveways and add a metallic taste to your water. Hydrogen sulfide may also be present, resulting in a "rotten egg smell" or sulfur odors. Manganese can also be a problem, leaving blackheads in plumbing fixtures. In addition, well water may also contain bacteria and other viruses. How it works

Air Sulfur (IMS) and Air Iron (IMFE) filters, are extremely effective in removing iron and hydrogen sulfide, which is common in well water. A unique air-injection filtering technology oxidizes sulfur or iron into precipitates that can be readily filtered and removed.
These filters are environmentally safe—unlike other systems, no toxic chemicals are used.(Available only on IMS, IACG, IAG models).
